It was discussed about expanding the farm rosters so I figured this would be a good time to get people discussing things and get this worked out so we're not rushing last minute before the season. So, vote 8 (just tossed in there incase someone wants a reduction), 10, 12, 15...majority rules.

I voted for 12, but I'd be very happy with 15 too. I def think expanding the farm a bit is a great idea, but def not a fan of reducing it. I think adding two or three spots this year is a good idea, see how that goes, and then if we feel we want another 2-3 spots added next year, we do that after this coming season. But I'm just as happy to see the extra spots added all at the same time too, so whatever works for everybody else works for me (as long as it's not reducing the farm).

I voted 12 - I liked Atlanta's idea of only increasing it by a couple this year, and seeing how that works out. We could always add more next year.

I voted 12 because I like ATL ideas. I would be good with 15 also, but like the idea of it being a gradual increase.

True. Sorry Derek. Was just playin'. No biggie. I guess it has only been a week, lol. Apparently I'm impatient.
I'm already thinkin' about next season and where I want to go with my roster, who I want to draft, who Ikeep, etc, so it would be nice to know how many spots I'm gonna have to work with, but it's lookin' like we can count on at least two more roster spots, so I can work with that.

Just to let everybody know, we're just waiting on Nashville and Detroit. It's been over 5 weeks now and I've sent out 4 e-mails and heard nothing back from them. I know it's summer and a lot of peoples minds aren't on hockey but it would take all of about 60 seconds to vote in the poll and send a quick email saying they're in next year. Since I haven't heard from them I'm going to assume they're not interested in coming back. I sent out one last email saying if I don't hear from them by Sunday I will begin looking for replacements.

Thanks for everybody's patience. I'm currently looking for new owners, I should have new guys for Nashville and Detroit by the end of this weekend. I'll be sending out an e-mail to update everything for everybody and let you all know about upcoming league events for the rest of the summer. Thanks again for your patience.

Hey all, I'm the new owner of the Detroit Red Wings.
I voted for 12. I understand that 10 was the previous count, and I support gradual changes.

Hey all, I'm the new owner of the Detroit Red Wings. I voted for 12. I understand that 10 was the previous count, and I support gradual changes. Sounds good, looks like 12 it is. With only one owner left to vote and 12 up by 3 votes, we will have 12 minor league spots for the 2008-2009 season.
