Yeah more O definately so the balance makes more since with the roster spots. If we don't want to add one more goalie stats then Saves is MUCH better than SO I can understand wanting to add skater stats so that there are more skater stats than goalie stats, and I am fine with that. I can't understand the hate for SO though. Even if it does usually end in a tie, who cares it's the same for everyone than. If everyone gets 1 point, oh well, nothing changes. If your goalie plays good enough to get a shutout, then I think you rightfully deserve to get 2 points in the standings. Saves is fine, but I don't think we should get rid of SO. The thing that does scare me about saves is that it encourages people to have more goalies, perhaps even 4 on their active roster. With 14 teams that will only further diminish an already slim goalie pool. There could be people that can't even make max games most weeks. That's my only concern. I agree with you on SOs. I'm one of the few that likes it as a cat. I think I voted no to SO's, but I figured there was so much opposition that my vote wouldn't make a diff anyway, so I went with the flow, but I would love to have SO's as a cat, as long as we get rid of another goalie cat or two (i.e. GAA, which I hate), and add a few skater cats to balance it out.

I'm fine with leaving SO and adding Saves but IMO I'd rather have saves and no SO then SO and no saves. We can't have people sitting their goalies all the time. Keep it balanced. Quantity vs. Quality.

You really can't take out GAA because that more or less renders goalies like Hasek and Turco useless, just because their teams play well defensively. They will never win you the Save% cat because they barely ever get any shots.

All 13 votes are in, so far the results are no veto's, one day waivers, and the draft order that has already been set.
1)Consolation Bracket - 6 YES, 5 NO Cascade Protection - 5 YES, 6 NO
2) Remove GAA: 0 YES, 12 NO Remove SO: 3 YES, 10 NO Add Saves: 7 YES, 6 NO
Add FOW: 2 YES, 11 NO Add SHP: 9 YES, 4 NO Add Points: 4 YES, 9 NO Add GWG: 7 YES, 6 NO
Results of this thread
I think I have been fairly reasonable in allowing pretty much any rule change and not voting in any of those poll or threads but based on the results I had to make a few decisions. I feel if this wasn't decided on we could debate forever what categories to add and things like that.
The Cascade turnover system does not pass, but the Consolation Bracket winner system does. We will just have to figure out what the exact reward will be for winning the consolation bracket.
I agree with everybody else that their simply cannot be 5 goalie categories unless there are 9 or 10 skater categories which is just way too much. So, by the results GAA and SO should stick and Saves should be added but due to this fact and Saves only passing by one vote, Saves will not be added. I'm in another 14 team dynasty league with a 7:4 stat ratio and it is very difficult, almost impossible to get a goalie. So, goalie stats will remain W, GAA, SV%, SO.
As for skater categories, GWG and SHP are the two that passed and those will be the two that are added. This will leave us with an 8:4 ratio which I think is pretty fair.

There is one final poll regarding this, please vote ASAP as it really needs to be decided by noon tomorrow. I tried to explain it as best I could in that thread.
