Is our waiver order going to be reverse of this draft order?

makes sense to me, but why will we have a waiver draft for this year? aren't we drafting full rosters and famr teams?

Just a 3 round Entry Draft after this I believe...
From the rules..
Anyone should be eligible that's drafted this year or before, I believe.

I imagine Pens is referring to the add/drop waiver priority list, as opposed to an actual waiver draft. Unless they're the same thing (I'm not too familiar with the waiver process)

no not a waiver draft... like waiver ranks on yahoo. They will be pretty important since we can't add guys to our farm that arn't in yahoo. So when some out of no where stud comes to the NHL whoever has best waiver will be in line for him.
I think it is only fair to make it reverse of this draft.

Ok, I got confused by what you meant..especially when Bruins mentioned the draft.
I've never seen it other than reverse order, but I'm not sure what Derek's plan is with that.

I certainly don't mind it's the reverse order of this draft But I don't mind whatever the order is. I think the chance is we won't use the waiver claim that much in the season anyway.

I think it will be important for any up and comers we want to grab when they enter since we can't add non-yahoo guys to the farm. I would have used it on halak maybe. Who knows. No one saw him coming before this year.
But then again maybe not lol..

Yes, I was actually just thinking of this. Waiver priority will be set to the reverse order of the draft order. And just to clear things up, I know it's different in other leagues but when sending a guy down to the farm he does not have to clear waivers. Waivers are irrelevant unless a guy has just been added to Yahoo or a guy is dropped to free-agency from a team.
Also, this year the prospect draft order will be reverse of the inaugural draft order and will be a snake draft. In all the years to come the draft will be reverse order of the standings and will be the same order each round, not snake.

So if you want to put a guy who is on waivers to your farm you don't have to wait for waivers? Just checking.

So if you want to put a guy who is on waivers to your farm you don't have to wait for waivers? Just checking. Actually, I see your point because if a guy is added to Yahoo you could just add him directly to your minor league team and that totally defeits the purpose of waivers. I've never run into this problem with any leagues I'm in. Does anybody have any suggestion? The only thing I can think of is that you can't add them to your minor league team until they've cleared waivers.
