Quick question - did roster sizes account for players acquired in the entry draft? Or does everyone need to trim 3 players (give or take based on trades) before the season starts?
I can't recall.

Yep, that's how I understand it too. Regardless of of how many players you aquired in trades or throught the draft, you cannot have more than 28 players on your roster (18 on active/bench/util, 10 on farm) after Sept 15th. So if you somehow end up with 33 players after the draft, you must cut 5 before the 15th. If you only have 30 after the draft (as I will) you'll only have to cut 2. If you somehow manage to come out of the entry draft with only 28 players, then you won't have to cut any. I think most teams will end up with 31 players after the entry draft, so most will have to drop 3, or if they're happy with their current lineup, they may just choose not to use all their draft picks, so that they don't have to cut anybody.

Derek was talking about moving the cut date back to Oct 1st or so... which I definitely think would be great. It would give us a chance to evaluate our players before we make cuts. Plus at the rate this draft is going...

Yep, you will have to trim your roster down to 28. The date was set for Sept 15th but at the ridiculous rate this draft is going, the date will be moved back, I'll let you all know the exact date atleast a week in advance.
