Hey guys - I just posted a comment on the Yahoo league board (link - hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey/1121/message?msgid=57), suggesting that we keep all discussion to this board, rather than posting message after message on the Yahoo league site. This tool is much better suited for discussion, and I think it's going to get much to complicated trying to keep our eye on both. Thoughts?

Well we have to check the Yahoo site pretty often anyways so it would probably be easier to keep it there. Doesn't really matter though.

I realize, it's just that there is a whole pile of activity going on there, and the league hasn't even started. From what I can tell, rosters are being posted, etc.
All of the board activity here is archived from year to year, rather than being lost. Further, it's neatly organized into boards and threads, keeping topics together so it's much easier to follow.
I just don't think that the Yahoo board provides any value at all, in comparison. You mentioned that we have to "check the Yahoo site pretty often anyways", which of course is true, but whenever we're considering picking up a FA, we need to come here to ensure they're available. Also, in terms of trading blocks, GMs can't list farm team players on the trading block through Yahoo.

Rosters are already on Yahoo, which I did to make drafting easier, and the minor league teams are posted on Yahoo so you don't have to go back and forth to check if a guy is available. There really isn't any activity going on there, just me updating the commish note with the updated minor league teams. I mean it honestly doesn't really matter to me but the only advantage to keeping things here is that everything is neatly organized. Just as you could post here that you have certain players up for trade, you can post on Yahoo. But like I said, it's not really a big deal to me.

As a matter of fact, I do think it's handy to keep the commish notes there for AHL rosters, and also to post transactions to/from the farm, and FA moves.
However, my preference would be that most of the other communication (banter between GMs, trade block announcements, etc) is funneled through here. There's a Transactions board to comment on trades within the league, and an NDL talk board to talk about weekly matchups, etc.
